An incarcerated life is a life
caught in time where the body can not manifest it’s thoughts…
although the emotions run as they always have. It’s frustrating to the
soul as it strives to experience, bringing about emotional storms where
one becomes disorientated within the mind, body and soul. As the soul
lacks companionship it reeks with loneliness, which can engulf upon
being, bottling up the essence of “Self” – destroying the mind,
body and soul like a cancer. Two years ago I entered incarceration.
Today I am still in incarceration, living on “TEXAS DEATH-ROW”, in
one of the most murderous states across this country. This is where I
spend 23 hours a day in a 6 x 10 cage consisting of a toilette with a
face bowl, bunk and desk: a concrete and steel concentration camp! Here
I am writing this missive within the silence and solitude of this 6 x 10
cage. What I am seeking in the endeavour is friendship! Within this
prison things are somewhat the same day-to-day, but within my
“being” is a life where the mind, body and soul strive to maintain
and grow. It’s a struggle….. I was once told of the power of
expression and now I realize that it is so powerful that within it is
freedom. There lies in me the basic human desire to share who I am and
what I have experienced in life with other people. That is the
motivation behind me, placing this ad. I miss the confraternity of
friendship. If I seek anything in particular it is a real person I can
feel and who in turn, tries to feel me. If allowed, I can offer you a
sincere and open minded friendship. Your gender, race or age has no
importance; this is exclusively for those who feel like giving
friendship a chance. My name is Marcus. I am a father of a four- year
old son, whom I love very much. I like to ride horses, play football and
basketball, write and listen to music as well as read. I like doing
things that are hands-on such as car-repair, operating heavy machinery
or using computers. I love to write poetry and songs. I don’t have a
specific denomination, but I do believe in God. I intended Texas State
Technical College where I majored in Electrical Engineering. In closing,
thank you for taking the time to read my words….. I look forward to
hearing from any and all.

Ein eingesperrtes Leben ist ein
Leben, welches seine Gedanken nicht offenbaren kann….. obwohl die
Gedanken immer noch allgegenwärtig sind. Die Seele wird ohne
Erfahrungen frustriert, und wirbelt emotionale Stürme auf, in denen man
innerhalb von Körper, Geist und Seele völlig orientierungslos wird.
Wenn die Seele keine Gesellschaft hat, stinkt sie vor Einsamkeit, und
verschlingt das Dasein an sich, und füllt die Essenz von „DIR
Selbst“ – um dann die Seele, den Körper und den Geist wie ein
Krebsgeschwür zu zerstören. Vor zwei Jahren betrat ich betrag ich den
Kerker. Heute bin ich immer noch eingesperrt und lebe im mörderischsten
Staat dieses Landes, dem Todestrakt von Texas. Hier verbringe ich 23
Stunden täglich in meiner 2 x 3 Meter Käfig, der aus einer Toilette,
Handwaschbecken, Tisch und einer Liege besteht; ein betoniertes und stählernes
Konzentrationskamp. Hierin sitze ich und schreibe dies innerhalb der
Stille und meines 2 x 3 Meter Käfigs. Was ich letztendlich suche ist
Freundschaft! Innerhalb dieses Gefängnisses ist alles, tagein, tagaus,
das Gleiche, aber innerhalb meines Daseins gibt es ein Leben, wo die
Gedanken, der Körper und die Seele aufrecht bleiben und wachsen wollen.
Es ist ein Kampf….. Mir wurde einmal von der Macht des Ausdrucks erzählt
und jetzt habe ich gemerkt, wie mächtig er ist und in sich bedeutet der
Ausdruck Freiheit. In mir ist der menschliche Drang, von mir und meinen
Erlebnissen mit anderen zu erzählen. Und das ist die Motivation und der
Grund, weshalb ich diese Anzeige schreibe. Ich vermisse die brüderliche
Gemeinschaft innerhalb einer Freundschaft. Wenn ich irgend etwas suche,
dann eine echte Person, die ich fühlen kann und die im Gegenzug
versucht, mich zu fühlen. Wenn es dann erlaubt ist, kann ich Dir eine
offene Freundschaft anbieten. Deine Rasse, Dein Alter; Mann oder Frau,
spielt überhaupt keine Rolle; dies ist ausschließlich für diejenigen,
die Freundschaft eine Chance geben wollen. Mein Name ist Marcus. Ich bin
der Vater eines vierjährigen Sohnes, den ich über alles liebe. Ich
reite gerne, spiele Football und Basketball, schreibe und höre Musik
und lese gerne. Ich mache gerne Dinge mit den Händen wie z.B. Autos
reparieren, schwere Maschinen bedienen oder am Computer sitzen. Ich
liebe es, Gedichte und Lieder zu schreiben. Ich habe keine besondere
Religion aber ich glaube an Gott. Ich besuchte die Technische Hochschule
in Texas, wo ich Elektrotechnik studiert habe. Zum Abschluss möchte ich
mich dafür bedanken, dass Du meine Worte gelesen hast…. Ich freue
mich darauf, von allen und jedem zu hören.
